After 12 hours, Kiki finally got to the PICU. She was very upset and sad when she woke up. The first thing she wanted was to call her Uncle Sam. :) Her face was puffy from being face-down during surgery but has gone down in the last couple of hours. So far she has some pain in the back of her head where the incision was made, and where the posts are. She keeps asking me to itch her :ears, cheeks, feet, and under the vest. She had part of her rib removed to help fuse her neck bones and has been complaining of hurting under the halo vest. She is slowly starting to drink fluids but no food yet.
